Each year the Worthy Grand Matron and Worth Grand Patron selects a charitable organization to assist through out the year.  This year Blue Star Moms will benefit from the efforts of our member.  Each chapter also supports both local and Eastern Star charitable causes. 

Blue Star Moms

In March 1942, Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc., was organized to support mothers who had sons or daughters in active service in the military.  Vintage Valley Blue Star Moms (VVBSM) is a support and service group covering Solano, Napa, and Yolo Counties in the State of California. They are mothers, fathers, family, and friends of military personnel who are currently serving or who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States.  They are a non-profit (501{c}3), non-partisan, non-political organization.

Relay For Life

One person can make a difference. Nowhere is that more evident than at a Relay for Life event. What is Relay for Life? The American Cancer Society Relay for Life program is a 24-hour walk, run, rock-on-the-track event that raises amazing funds for cancer research. California Order of the Easter Star has supported the Relay since 2003. Cancer survivors begin every Relay with a moving memorial ceremony. Beautiful Luminaria memorializes people we have lost to cancer, honor the ones who fought cancer in the past, and support those whose fight continues. Annually, state-wide, district, and chapter teams support the Relay by keeping members on supporting the Relay.

Grand Chapter Heart Fund

Many members of the Grand Chapter and their extended families have been affected by the nation’s number one killer; heart disease. The Grand Chapter Heart Fund was established to collect funds to be donated to heart research or heart-related charities. The Grand Chapter Heart funds are collected during the Grand Chapter year and distributed on an annual basis to a charity designated by the Worthy Grand Matron. - Constitution and Laws, Sec. 92.

Cancer Research Fund

Just a few short years ago the hearing the words “you have cancer” spoken by your doctor was tantamount to hearing a death sentence. This is no longer the case with some leukemia strains, early breast cancer, and many others. Cancer research saves lives. Yet every year, promising research founders for lack of resources, mainly funding dollars. As members and friends of the Grand Chapter, together we can change this. Through the Cancer Research Fund we collect and distribute funds to charitable nonprofit organizations engaged in cancer research.

Each year the Worthy Grand Matron selects an eligible cancer research organization to receive the funds. With your donation we can make a difference!
